East Brooklyn Ascend Lower School opened in the fall of 2019 in CSD 19. The school now serves students in grades K-1 and will add a grade next year to eventually serve grades K through 4.

From one great Ascend facility to another
Students attending East Brooklyn Ascend Lower School, one of Ascend’s newest schools, will attend school at the beautiful Cypress Hills Ascend Lower School, which enrolls grades K-3. In school year 2021, East Brooklyn Ascend students will move a short distance away to East Brooklyn Ascend Lower School’s permanent facility at 260 Shepherd Avenue.
This new campus offers a spacious cafeteria, large gymnasium, sun-filled classrooms, and outdoor play space, is in close proximity to public transit options, and is easily accessible to many Brooklyn neighborhoods.
