Ascend is committed to transparency and protecting the privacy of our website’s visitors. Below we outline how data collected from Ascend’s website is used. Information Ascend collects

Visitors to our website are not required to provide personal information. We collect information only if you request updates, apply to our schools or for a job, refer someone for a position, or submit a donation. The information collected may include your name and email address. If you donate to Ascend, the information collected will include your mailing address, phone number, and credit card information. This information is collected so that we may send periodic emails, review your job application, or process donations. When you apply to enroll in our schools, we request information about the student so that we can process your application into our lottery.

If you would like to opt-out from future mailings, unsubscribe instructions are included at the bottom of all emails.

As with nearly all websites, additional data is collected automatically upon your visiting our website. The web server logs data about your IP address, and cookies are used through Google Analytics to capture and remember certain information. Additional information about Google’s use of data can be found on its website. Ascend may analyze this anonymized data to improve our website experience and detect problems with the server.

Protecting your information

Ascend’s website is hosted on a secure server and all supplied sensitive information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Your data is not stored on our server. Enrollment, student and talent outreach, and donations are processed through third party websites which agree to keep all information confidential and have separate privacy policies. Personal data will not be shared with any other party.
