Brownsville Ascend Charter Elementary School
Overview
Brownsville Ascend Lower School opened as a public charter school in Brooklyn, New York in 2009, enrolling elementary students from neighborhoods including Brownsville, Crown Heights and Bedford–Stuyvesant in kindergarten through fourth grade. Located in the majestically renovated historic Pitkin Theater in CSD 23, Brownsville Ascend Lower School offers art, character education and physical education on top of our excellent core curriculum.
