Announcing the Search of Our Chief Advancement Officer

Recy Dunn

January 18, 2024

As the new year begins and a new chapter unfolds, we are thrilled to share a significant milestone in our journey towards a brighter, more equitable future in education. In August, we announced the formation of a new Advancement Team to seek external philanthropic support. This team marks a pivotal moment for Ascend's growth and sustainability. Today, we’re thrilled to announce that we have made significant progress in standing up this team and have officially launched the search for a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO).

The CAO will be a key figure in driving philanthropic engagement and is pivotal in Ascend’s multi-year development strategy and campaign, focusing on revenue generation and amplifying our story. The position will guide the organization in fostering relationships to convert prospects into champions and investors, advancing Ascend’s goals for growth and sustainability. More than a fundraising role, the CAO will forge meaningful partnerships with individuals and organizations who share our vision for a brighter, more equitable future.

For those passionate about education and philanthropy, we invite you to explore the job description of the CAO here. We encourage all qualified individuals to consider joining our dynamic team, as we strive to make a lasting impact for generations.

We have also been working with consultants and leaders in the sector to lay the foundation for the new Advancement Team–setting our goals, creating a roadmap, and are now planning to launch a multi-million dollar fundraising campaign this Spring. We are looking forward to bringing on a passionate and talented new leader that will support Ascend in bringing this plan to life and taking us to new heights.

That being said, we would not be where we are today without your unwavering dedication to our mission and the success of our students. Working together, I know Ascend is well-positioned for generations to come. To the future!
