Celebrating a historic achievement for Ascend Charter Schools

We are excited to share some historic news:

In the 2024–2025 school year, our students achieved the highest proficiency and strongest growth on the New York State test results in the history of Ascend Charter Schools. These results place Ascend in the top 10% of all schools in the state of New York!

Our students just set a new bar moving forward:

• Year-over-year proficiency scores improved by 15 points in ELA, 13 points in Math, and 32 points in Science, doubling our Science proficiency

• We outperformed the state of New York by more than 17% in each subject, another historic record for our students and families.

Together, we’ve shown what can be achieved, and this is only the beginning.

These results are not the finish line. They are a proof point of what we know is possible, and how much more we can grow for our students. It validates our belief in what students, families, and educators can achieve when we are clear, aligned, and focused.

Later this month, Ascend classrooms will again be alive with our students' voices, questions, dreams, and laughter. Some of these students will be stepping through our doors for the first time, and some will be returning for another year of challenge and growth. They will walk in knowing they belong, and we will be ready to meet them with the same joy, belief, and high expectations that made this historic achievement possible.
