Josue Cofresi performs research and analysis of issues affecting Ascend Learning and Ascend schools; manages the organization’s grant-writing and charter application processes; tracks facility and IT maintenance issues across Ascend schools; and assists the president and COO in community outreach efforts, student enrollment campaigns, and special projects. Cofresi was a Fulbright Fellow in Yilan, Taiwan, where he taught English and consulted with local community members in the development of an English resource website and other bilingual tools. He can converse in Mandarin Chinese and has native fluency in English and Spanish. Cofresi graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in linguistics.
