Facilities

The Brooklyn Ascend Charter School lower school is located at 205 Rockaway Parkway, Brooklyn. The school occupies 60,000 feet over five floors in the newly constructed building. To provide a healthful and stimulating environment for learning, the design features abundant natural light from four sides of the property, spacious classrooms, rich colors and furnishings, a rooftop playground, and the use of green materials.

The middle school will open in September 2011 in 205 Rockaway Parkway. Later this year, it will move to its permanent facility at 123 East 98th Street, two blocks from the lower school. The new 46,000-foot building, designed for the school by Andersen-Miller Design, will be completed in August 2011 and include an innovative immersion environment. Specially designed galleries on each floor will present a rotating collection of museum-quality reproductions of artwork and artifacts related to our students’ studies in the arts, sciences, and humanities.
