Ninety-nine percent of the Brooklyn Ascend Charter School's parents attended conferences with their children's teachers, the school reported today.
The conferences coincided with the completion of the school's first term and the issuance of report cards. Parents received a detailed and--in a departure from the practice of most schools--entirely objective assessment of their students' progress in the SABIS® academic program.
